This is an idea I've had for awhile, but finally got around to testing out. They're bookmarks, but could probably also be used as "pocket buddies" in a chest pocket and such if you secured them a little better. Commissions for bookmarks of this type are available. Feng-huang Shield by Laura Whent

And a slightly different version of the prior upload. The shield's a collaboration between myself and another member of my costuming group (he made the shield, I painted it), and was done as a gift for our Colonel. The colouration seen here is more in line with the myth than the t-shirt version of this design.

A t-shirt design I did for a costuming group I'm part of. The feng-huang are a pair of immortal birds from Chinese myth, which bear a similarity to the more commonly known Phoenix of other myths.

Shadow Study by Laura Whent

These were done (really quickly, I must add) mostly to try to get my point across to one of my teachers. The film I'm currently working on is meant to be dark and gloomy. I want the lighting to give this kind of effect on my character as much as possible. A sharp contrast between light and dark. Aside from looking cool, there's some psychology babble that explains why such lighting lends itself well to the point I'm trying to get across. Character belongs to me and is not to be used without permission.

Tuck, the character from the first solo-made animated shot I did. The drawing of Tuck was originally done without any intent of putting a background on it, but I got bored recently and decided to give it a try. I was going for a simplistic Flash-style look. A portrait of Lieam from David Petersen's "Mouse Guard" comic, done as a long-overdue thank you for some help he gave me on one of my projects last year. Done on a 3" by 5" canvas, and painted with what few tubes of acrylic paint I had that didn't dry out after years of not being used.

Lieam and Mouse Guard belong to David Petersen.
