These were done (really quickly, I must add) mostly to try to get my point across to one of my teachers. The film I'm currently working on is meant to be dark and gloomy. I want the lighting to give this kind of effect on my character as much as possible. A sharp contrast between light and dark. Aside from looking cool, there's some psychology babble that explains why such lighting lends itself well to the point I'm trying to get across.
