One of assignments for college. This is improved over what I originally handed in, though there are still some problems. This was the first time I modeled anything significant with nurbs, and my first attempt at a patch model.

Oh wow, that's pretty nice. I haven't had a lot of experience with nurbs or patch models.. in fact I don't really know what a patch model is. :D I'm taking a Maya class right now and we have been working in polys, mostly.

Thanks! :) A patch model is pretty much what it sounds like - a model made up of a number of patches rather than being one solid mesh. My dog head is made up of 24 seperate pieces, not counting the eyes. It's really different from working in polys, but not bad if you don't go crazy from the repetitiveness of attaching, rebuilding and detaching surfaces over and over for hours to get a smooth model :P

Wow, that's great!! Anything 3D confuses the heck outta me, so this is pretty sweet. I couldn't even model a single eye, let alone this! Nice work. :)
